To match some requests from Forum-Software.org users, we've just added six additional fields to describe forum features :
- User List
- Calendar
- User Ranks
- Avatars
- User Signature
- Custom BBCodes
To be more precise, some features like Smileys, User list or Message attachments will not be only described as present or missing, but could be added by a patch or by a simple plugin (extension). This will help webmasters to know how much work and search they will need to spend if they really want a feature that is not contained by default in their favorite forum software.

A forum software based on J2EE/Hibernate for small business has just been tested by Forum-Software.org. Its name is JavaBB.
Please note that the server which hosts the demonstration is not really fast and can be down sometimes.

The most famous forum software is available as demonstration in Forum-Software.org. And of course, we took advantage of this installation to review the next major release of PhpBB 3.
A list of improvements and novelties is available in the review.
Please of course note this release is beta, and should not be installed in production environment.
