by lapie, Tue February 14, 2012 01:34 I'm wondering what type of forum software I should use for my art community. The art community is based off of computer art, such as Gimp/Photoshop creations. I will need a forum software that has very artsy like themes. Themes that make you go "wow". I will need something that can handle atleast 200-600 users. I need something that has easy to use ACP as well as LOTS of features. When I say lots,I mean loads,more then I will most likely need. I want the freedom to do what I want with my forum,and the stability to make it happen.
Forum software I will NOT use:
Any version of SMF(Simple Machines)
myBB

ipb has really really good themes.
xenforo has really out of the ordinary features
fluxbb can hold a lot of users, and theming is quite easy.

Just a thought, but wouldn't a very clean, minimalist look suit your forum better? I mean, for the same reason that galleries have white walls?

I would suggest you to go for forums that can provide art lovers answers for each of their questions.
