UBB.threads is a much better forum software package than vBulletin. UBB.threads is faster, more reliable, and has a much better official support team. vBulletin is nothing but a bloated UBB.classic knockoff. If you want great forum software for large communities, you can't go wrong with UBB.threads.
vBulletin is bloatware; it's like every feature you don't want to bother with is shipped standard... I wish "modules" where available so users could choose what they want to bloat their forum with...
The mod community requires a license to access, so don't expect third parties to join to help port their software.
All in all, I'll stick with UBB.Threads; why not, vBulletin was after all originally based off of UBB.Classic, so why go with a knockoff.
This company is an absolute JOKE! Their website is constantly down, their payment processing system is a mess. I tried for over 6 hours to order their product and was unable to whatever I did, so I finally gave up and am now using a competing product.
Lol, the folks here calling vBulletin a UBB knock off... I'll just assume they are newbs. vBulletin is a much better software than UBB. Some of the largest boards out there use vBulletin - even some of the larger UBB boards converted to vBulletin.
Forget vBulletin 4, wait for UBB 8.0. It is an absolute joke that Internet Brands had to jack up their prices on vBulletin 4, and still charge for additional features (such as blogs and a photo gallery). UBB 8.0 will include all of these features at no additional cost. Rick Baker is an exceptional programmer with much more experience than any of Internet Brands' programmers for vBulletin. Don't forget, Rick Baker treats his customers far better than Internet Brands.

Anyone who rates under a four shouldn't be running a forum, whether on free or paid software because they have no idea what they're doing.

Ignore this user's comment. UBB.threads is much better, and that is a FACT, not an OPINION! UBB.threads 8.0 will beat the **** out of vB 4.0!
