The best forum software is PhpBB2

After a two months poll on Forum-Software.org, the community give the first position to the most famous PhpBB 2. This is not a real surprise, because this is the most used forum software on Internet.

The PhpBB family also takes the second position with the PhpBB 3 version, which is actually on Release Candidate 1.

The fourth position is a good surprise, because its a Java powered forum which takes this position : JForum.

Here are the 5 first places of the contest :

  1. PhpBB 2 (25 %)
  2. PhpBB 3 (21 %)
  3. Simple Machines (16 %)
  4. JForum (8 %)
  5. PunBB (7 %)
