Even if IPB and Zetaboards come from Invision Free, have you ever think about reviewing this hosted forum?
It's actually the opposite, Invision Free originally came from IPB. See the timeline.
Back in the time of IP.Board 1.x it was still free software (and it was meant to remain like this), but that changed with IP.Board 2.x, which is commercial software. That is why Invisionfree started: to give people a free IP.Board, even if it's only v1.x of the software. Zetaboards is essentially an update of Invisionfree (it is also based on IP.Board), though Invisionfree still exists independently.
A review on Zetaboards is available: http://www.forum-software.org/zetaboards/review
Might be worth looking into until there is an Invisionfree review
Yeah, it's planned, but, as usual, not yet done Thanks to remind me about this anyway!
FSR Admin - Vote for 2012.
Actually, you got your info wrong.
ZB is built from scratch, and is in no way based on IPB/IF. It is just the "successor" of IF.
Its development started sometime in 2005 (actually, even earlier, because at first there was just rumours of InvisionFree 2. and ended around the 4th quarter of 2007 (I don't remember the exact date).
And even then, it wasn't an update of InvisionFree, it took a few months until forums could be transferred, and even more time until there were no more problems with the transfer, it could be done automatically etc.
