Hi, I'm wondering what the querycount is on this forum for a full topic page, http://www.forum-software.org/discussion/general-discussions-about-forum...
I'm developing a forum for a community site using Advanced Forum (and most recommended modules). The querycount on a page with 10 comments is between 600 and 800, which is very high. A forum topic page loads in 7 seconds on my localhost.
Are there any optimizations I need to do in order to get a similar performance as this forum?
Thanks in advance!
Here are the statistics for the page you asked:
First test was to use the Devel DB log output, on the bottom of the page:
As you can see, it's about 250 SQL queries, which is smaller than the 600/800 you are expecting. Note that we do not have sidebars for that page, and it may help. Speed depends on the latency of the DB.
Now, additional info using the Performance Logs:
Node Mem Tot(ms) Anon Queries QT(ms)
node/1653 11.75 931ms No 244 335 ms
node/1653 0.75 14ms Yes 10 5 ms
node/1653 0.75 25ms Yes 10 13 ms
As you can see, Anonymous browsing does almost not need the database (11 queries vs 244 !), and it renders quite fastly in any case (logged or anonymous).
Hope it helps.

Forums are those groups that share knowledge on internet by writing the messages on a common place called message boards. Search Engine Optimization is wide field that is related to web technology and that it has direct proportion with e-commerce. Every investor on world wide web is in search of walking customers. This is only possible when its site will be visible on the first page of the search engine. To bring the site to the first page of specific search engine optimization for that site is required and optimization is performed with knowledge. The one way to get the knowledge is to join a forum related to Search Engine Optimization.
