Problems with installation

I have followed the installation procedures for an upgrade and cannot complete it. When I put the path in my browser it gives me an error of 500. I have cmod all my files to 0777. Not sure what to do next.

According to the current page, it seems that you need to unlock your install directory by removing the lock file.

The installer automatically locks itself for security reasons.

If you want to unlock it, log in to your FTP, go to /install/ and remove the "lock" file that's there. It should work then.

Happened to me too but I couldn't figure out the FTP instructions....?!

Happened to me also in one of my past forums, I got so frustrated that I had to change CMS and domain instead of trying to resolve it. Call me a lazy bum but I got it worked out Smile
